John's children would like to inform you of the peaceful passing of their father on January 11, 2011.
He was born July 28, 1918 to Andrew Thomas and Ethel Clarke Baggs.

John married Erma Olive Johnson September 16, 1942 in the Logan LDS Temple.

He gave a life of service to his family, church, and community.

He loved his country and served proudly in WWII.
Dad was devoted to his family and took great pride in his posterity.

He is survived by his three sons, and four daughters; J. Thomas and Geenie Baggs, James E. and Joyce Baggs, Jay K. and Donna Baggs, Ruth and Richard Hakes, Roxey and Glen Taylor, Rena and Laine Adair and Robyn and Dean Briggs; 33 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his spouse, his siblings, Andrew C, Deane W. and Barbara Ruth.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Highlands Ward Chapel, 5378 W. Old Highway Road, Mt. Green, UT. Family and friends may gather from 11:00 to 12:45 prior to services. Interment will be at Ogden City Cemetery where military honors will be accorded.
