Mrs. Sarah ("Sally") Marie Scott, 64, died Tuesday at Parkview Hospital after an illness of nearly two months. She was the widow of Everett Scott of Bluffton, who gained fame as a major league baseball player and who led the American League Shortstops in fielding for eight consecutive years. [Note: her father-in-law was the famous baseball player, not her husband].

She is survived by one son, Michael, of Fort Wayne; two brothers, John and Charles Summerland, both of Wabash, and a sister, Mrs. Paul Camp, also of Wabash. Services were at 1:00 pm today at the DO McComb Funeral Home in Fort Wayne, with burial in Elm Grove Cemetery.
