Anita Grace Slick

Funeral for Anita Grace Slick, 80, of Decatur will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Walt Schmidt officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Slick died July 27, 2002, at Parkway Medical Center. She was born July 25, 1922, in Town Creek to Oscar C. Copeland and Ruth Stanley Copeland. She worked at Parkway Baptist Church day-care center for many years and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Charles Gayland Slick of Greenville, S.C., Thomas Eugene Slick of Seymour, Ind., and Jon Alan Slick of Decatur; one sister, Marcella Burney of Town Creek; and six grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Burney, Greg Harrison, Chris Slick, Charles Nave, Horace Pentecost, Chuck Sparks and Jonathan Barrett.
