Thomas W. Moon, for 20 years the Erie station agent at Attica, died at his home in Laredo, Texas on Fri. morning. Mr. Moon's father was a sea captain and he was born 62 years ago in mid ocean while his parents were coming from the West Indies.
During his railroad career, Mr. Moon was operator and station agent at Canaseraga and later on the West Shore at Elba. From there he went to Linden and later Attica.
He is survived by a son, Horace W. Moon of Laredo, TX and a daughter, Mrs. Fred Dolph of Canaseraga.
T.W. Moon was a nephew and foster child of Sanford P. Moon. T.W. made his home with his uncle after the death of his mother.
He first married Ida May Denton. They had a son Horace. Horace died in Laredo, TX on Feb 25, 1915.
He second married Julia Frances Phelps, daughter of Hulcy Phelps of Canaseraga. She died June 6, 1943 in Laredo, TX. She is buried in Canaseraga, NY
Thomas and Julia had one daughter, Daisy Adell. She married Fred F. Dolph of Canaseraga.
Thomas and Julia's son Richard Andrew died at the age of 1 year in 1902.
