The death of Joseph A. Burrows, one of the oldest and wealthiest men of this county, and the owner of the first dry good store in Fairfield, occurred at the residence of his son-in-law, Rev. Edward Herbrook, in Dayton, yesterday at 11 o'clock, the cause of his death being pneumonia. He was aged about 76 years. He leaves two daughters and one son to mourn his life, his wife having died over thirty years ago. He has been sick about four weeks. The funeral will take place from the residence of his son-in-law, in Dayton, Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
