MUNCIE--Betty M. Antrim, 80, Muncie, born Oct. 9, 1921, died at home Monday, Dec. 10, 2001.
The beloved mother and grandmother has gone home to be with the Lord.
She is survived by a daughter, Evelyn Charlton (husband: Forrest); a son, Michael Newman Sr. (wife: Brenda); three grandsons; three great-grandsons; a great-granddaughter; two stepchildren, Roger Farlee (wife: Amy) and Lisa Thurman (husband: Terry); eight great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruby Mullen, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, G. Reid Antrim; a son, Charles E. Newman; parents, Clarence E. and Nancy Harriet Dunn Fears; six brothers, Lester, Clifford, Jesse, Elmer, Hershel and Roy Fears, and two sisters, Cora Lambert and Rosa White.
She was a member of Jackson Park Baptist Church.
Memorial services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Parson Mortuary, with Pastor Steven Dugger officiating. Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and an hour before services. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery.
