--Mrs. Hattie B. Rinker, 78, of route 5, Peru, died Tuesday at Dukes hospital after an illness of ten years.
--Born Sept. 14, 1878, in Miami county, she was the daughter of Frank and Sarah Frances (Hunter) Means. On Dec. 25, 1898, she was married to H. P. Rinker, who survives.
--Other survivors include a son, Merrill, at home; a daughter, Miss Esther Rinker, South Bend; two brothers, Charles and Claude Means, both of Peru; three sisters, Mrs. Frank Brown and Mrs. Charles Salts, both of Peru; and Mrs. Alvin Rinker, Colorado Springs, Colo.
--Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Santa Fe Methodist church with Reverends Marvin Simmons and Clifford Conn officiating. Burial will be in the Santa Fe cemetery. A short prayer service will be held at 1:15 p.m. Friday at the Drake-Flowers chapel. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a. m. today.
