A large gathering of relatives and friends paid a last tribute to the memory of Duane Maxfield yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock when funeral services were held from the chapel of Bicknell & Moore.
The services were in charge of the Chico lodge of the Modern Woodmen of American and the pallbearers were chosen from among members of that lodge, of which Clark was a charter member. Interment was in Chico cemetery.
Clark died at his home at 841 Normal avenue Thursday morning after suffering with cardiac dropsy for the past year. He was 55 years old and a native of Wisconsin. He was an expert mechanic and had been employed by the Diamond Match company and the Sacramento Northern railway.
