Born in Trenton, Mr. Picarello was a lifelong area resident. He retired after 18 years from the maintenance department of the N.J. State Capitol Building.
He was a member of the College Sportsmen's Club of Roebling Avenue.
Surviving are his wife, Antonietta Binda Picarello; three brothers, Frank, Angelo and Pasquale Picarello, and a sister, all of Lawrenceville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday from the Chambers Funeral Home, 825 Chambers St. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, in the Immaculate Conception Church.
Remembrances may be made in a form desired by friends.
