MILFORD - Dale Eugene Thompson, 80, died Friday in his home. He was a United States Army veteran. Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Lee (Violet) Sloan of Syracuse and Connie Lewellan of Waterloo, IN; son, Roger (Marilyn) Thompson of Milford; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse, where friends may call two hours before services. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mentone Cemetery.

Dale E. Thompson, May 22, 1930-Dec. 31, 2010, Dale Eugene Thompson, 80, Milford, passed away at 12:06 a.m. Friday at his home. He was born on May 22, 1930, in Rochester, to Charles E. and Irene M. (Fisher) Thompson. He grew up in Fulton County and attended school there. He lived in North Webster for 30 years before moving to the Milford area. He retired in 1999 from Dana Corp., Syracuse, as a machinist and fork truck operator. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge No. 3760, Syracuse, and served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lee (Violet) Sloan, Syracuse, and Connie Lewellan, Waterloo; son Roger (Marilyn) Thompson, Milford; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister Betty Brower. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Owen Family Funeral Homes, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, with Pastor Mike Beezley of the Clunette United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Graveside services are at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Mentone Cemetery. Memorial bequests may be given to Goshen Care at Home Hospice, P.O. Box 723, Goshen, IN 46526. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
