Nancy was born near New Britain in Bucks Co, PA, daughter of Isaac Newhouse and Catherine VanPelt. Nancy was the eldest child, and in her youth, Nancy's family moved from Bucks Co to Fauquier Co, VA, then to Montgomery Co, VA, from which in 1789 Wythe County was formed. Isaac Newhouse fought in the War for Independence in Bucks Co, PA. After they moved to Fauquier Co, VA in 1778, Isaac and Catherine Newhouse were members of the Broad Run Baptist Church until they moved to Montgomery Co, VA in 1788.
Nancy married George Williams c1788 at the Broad Run Baptist Church in New Baltimore, Fauquier Co, VA, where her parents had been members since 1778. After the death of George's presumed grandfather, David Williams, in early 1789, George and Nancy lived next to David's widow Ann Williams in Hillsboro from 1789-1793, and also near to Nancy's extended Newhouse and VanPelt families that lived in Loudoun County.
By 1796, George and Nancy moved back to Wythe Co, VA to live near Nancy's Newhouse family, and the following year moved to Washington Co, VA, where they resided north of Abingdon along the Poor Valley near Brumley Creek - where most of their children were born.
In 1810-11, George and Nancy moved out west to southern Indiana along, along with her father Isaac Newhouse and brother Samuel Newhouse, crossing the Cumberland Gap into Kentucky then northwards across the Ohio River into Franklin Co, Indiana Territory. A couple years afterwards, Nancy's brother James and John Newhouse also moved to Indiana.
In late 1820, George & Nancy moved the family from Union Twp, Franklin Co (now Union Co), IN to the small village of Columbia, Fayette Co, IN. In Sept of 1820, Nancy's father Isaac remarried Winifred (Bailey) Sandifur in Fayette Co, IN, mother of Patsy (Sandifur) Newhouse, Nancy's sister and law. In 1821, George & Nancy's daughter Mary married Noah Sandifur, son of Winifred.
After George died in 1844, Nancy moved c1846 with her son John to Fulton Co, Illinois, where Nancy lived in Union Twp near Troy Mills until her death in Oct 1847, when she was buried in Babbitt Cemetery.
Nancy is referenced in a 1914 bio sketch of her son-in-law Noah Sandifur from The History of Miami Co. Indiana:
"In September 1821, he [Noah Sandifur] was married in Fayette county, Indiana, to Miss Mary Williams, a native of Virginia and a daughter of George and Nancy (Newhouse) Williams. Mr. Williams was also a pioneer farmer of Franklin county, whence he came probably as early as 1820, clearing a tract of land and establishing a comfortable home for his children, who were, as far as is known, Mary, John, Isaac, Sarah and James, a daughter who married a Mr. Wilson, and another who married a Mr. Walker."
