MRS. ALIDOR DEBEL
Mrs. Alice M. DeBel, 75, died about 6:35 p.m. Christmas Day in St. Joseph Hospital, after a two-week illness. She was born on Sept. 8, 1902, in Superior, Wis.,and had lived here since 1933, coming from Wisconsin. On Sept. 8, 1923, as Alice DeBaets, she married Alidor DeBel, who survives. Mrs. DeBel had retired in 1962 from the Uniroyal, Inc., plant here, after 20 years service.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Stewart, Mishawaka; a son, Albert DeBel, Mishawaka; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Bavo's Catholic Church, with Rev. Stephen Cvaniga, pastor, officiating,and burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Mrs. DeBel was a member of St. Bavo's parish and of the Volkring Club, South Bend. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
