MRS. HANNAH PATTON

Mrs. Hannah Patton died Saturday afternoon at 3:40 o'clock at the home of her son Lewis, in Villisca where she had resided for the last twelve years, her death resulting from pneumonia. She had been in failing health for about a year.
Hannah Gardner was born Oct 25, 1844, in Ohio, and was 84 years old at her death. She was married Aug 23, 1863 to G.W. Patton, and to this union seven children were born. Five daughters preceded the mother in death, two sons, Elva of Florida and Lewis of Villisca, surviving her. Her husband died ten years ago, in the same month and at the same time of day that her death occurred.
Mrs. Patton was a member of the M.E. church but of late she attended services at the Advent Christian church of which her son and family are members. Besides her sons she leaves also three brothers.
The funeral was held Monday afternoon in the tabernacle in the east part of Villisca where the Advent Christian conference and camp meetings are being held, Rev O.C. McGuire conducting the service, assisted by Rev. J. F. Hurlbut of Chetek, Wisc. former pastor here. The singing was by Mrs. Helen Penwell and Mrs. Irma Strait of Villisca, Rev J. F.
