Funeral services for Edd William Waters were held Monday, April 7, 1997 at 2:L00(sic) p.m. in the Rose Chapel with Kevin Ballard officiating.
Edd, the son of Carrie Frankie May and George Norman Waters, was born October 24, 1915 in Clinton, OK and passed away April 4, 1997 in the Mercy Health Center at the age of 81 years, five months and ten days.
Edd grew up in the Clinton and Butler communities and married Crelva Lorena (Stigleman) on August 17, 1938 in Clinton, OK. They lived in Butler, Carter and Mt. View, OK before moving to Sayre in 1955 to make their home. He owned and operated Edd's Garage for a number of years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Crelva of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Laveta and Joel Rippetoe of Sayre and Rena and Thomas Holland of Jenks, OK; one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Shirley Waters of Weatherford, OK; nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
Interment was in the Sayre Doxey Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
