--Everett G. Borden, 83, Rt. 3, Peru, died in Dukes Memorial Hospital, Friday, June 20, 1980, after an extended illness.
--He was born in Butler Township July 30, 1896, the son of Joseph and Phoebe Garrison Borden. He married Helen Edwards March 4, 1917.
--Mr. Borden was a retired farmer and a former Miami County Commissioner. He was a member of the Santa Fe United Methodist Chrurch.
--Surviving with the wife are two daughters, Irene, wife of Bryon Overman, Rt. 5; Maryellen, wife of George Boone, Rt. 5; a son, Harold, Rt. 5; ten grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
--Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Laird Funeral Home, Amboy, the Rev. Howard Tyner and the Rev. Sed(sic) Pitzer presiding.
