Pamela Marie Evans was born on May 1, 1951, in Escanaba, Mich., the daughter of George and Eula (Robinson) Nevala. She moved with her family to Frankfort, S.D., at the age of 2. She attended public school in Frankfort until the age of 10 and then moved with her family to Huron, S.D., where she graduated from high school in 1969. In 1971, she graduated from Presentation College in Aberdeen, S.D., with an associate of arts degree with highest honors.

Pam was married to Maurice Evans on Aug. 10, 1971, in Frankfort. They lived in Aberdeen until November 1973 when they moved to Willmar. Pam was a member of the Church of St. Mary. Her full time job was raising her three sons. She enjoyed playing duplicate bridge, was in charge of the duplicate bridge club in Willmar for many years and was a bridge teacher. Pam had a love of flowers and great knowledge of plants. Pam and Maurice went on many cruises and family vacations. She especially enjoyed her four grandchildren and always looked forward to having them over. She loved to ride with Maurice on his motorcycle and go with him in the airplane when she could. In the fall of 2003, Pam was diagnosed with breast cancer and was in remission until 2008.

She is survived by her husband, Maurice Evans of Willmar; three sons, Eric (and Angie) Evans of Fargo, N.D., Jason (and Tricia) Evans of Willmar and Paul Evans of Fargo; and four grandchildren.
