CARLSBAD--Margarita Galindo de Brito, 91, of West Shaw Stree, died Wednesday (July 27, 1994) at Guadalupe Medical Center. Rosary is set for 7 p.m. today in the Denton-Funeral Home chapel. Mass is set for 10 a.m. Saturday at San Jose Catholic Church with the Rev. John Elmer officiating. Burial will follow in Carlsbad Cemetery.
Mrs. Brito was born Feb. 22, 1903, in San Antonio, Chihuahua, Mexico. She married Juan Brito in 1927 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico, and he preceded her in death. She was living in Presidio, Texas, for several years then moved to Ojinaga for 32 years. In 1973, she moved to Carlsbad.
She is survived by one son, Johnny G. Brito Jr. of Loving; six daughters, Anastacia B. Echavarria of Loving, Virginia B. Hernandez of Presidio, Leonor G. Brito, Maria Luz G. Brito, Estella B. Martinez and Elia B. Esparza all of Carlsbad; 47 grandchildren, 116 great-grandchildren; and 45 great-great-grandchildren.
