Merle M., 82, passed away on Friday, June 5, 1998 after a courageous battle with cancer. Mrs. Beasley, born in Merkel, Texas and raised in the southwest, was a resident of Florida since 1972. There will be a ``Celebration of Life'' memorial service on June 12 at 1:00PM at Cathedral Towers Senior Residences, 601 N. Newman St., Jacksonville, FL, where she resided since 1992. She will be buried in Carlsbad, New Mexico, next to her husband, Edward A. Beasley. She is survived by daughters Betty Harris (Dan), Midland, Texas and Shirley Truett (Hank), Crescent, Georgia; and a son Barry Beasley (Linda), Jacksonville, Florida. She had another son Gary who preceded her in death on March 30, 1998. Other survivors include her 7 grandchildren, Eddy Lee, Carol, Linda, Denny, Matthew, Ray and David and 7 great grandchildren. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in her memory to Hospice Northeast, 4266 Sunbeam Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32257. Arrangements by George H.
