From History of Maries Co, MO by Everett M. King, page 646: "Amos T. Collier, his wife. the former Martha Gibbons, and their two children, Emmett and Della, are all dead. Emmett left three children, all of whom now live in Colorado. Della was also the mother of three children by her marriage to Newton Skaggs, who live around Lanes Prairie. Edna, the remaining deceased child, married A. J. Branson; all of her four children live outside the county, most of them in St. Louis".
