Daughter of James Perry Barfield and Sallie Dunbar Barfield. She was the first wife of Mike McDonald. Their children were Eugene Farrell McDonald; Roger Glen McDonald (who was killed in action in Korea in 1950), and Jerry Ronald McDonald, Sr. Her second husband was Cleveland W. Poston; four brothers, Willie and Sam Barfield, both of Lumberton; Jim Barfield of Fayetteville; and Autry Barfield of Bladenboro. She is survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is deeply missed.
