Simon Brubaker, one of the pioneer settlers of Tippecanoe county, died at 11:30 o'clock this morning at the family residence on the Mayflower road. He had been in feeble health for a long time and his death was caused by the infirmities of age. Mr. Brubaker was eighty years and eight months old and was well and favorably known throughout the county. He was married twice, his first marriage being to Miss Mattie Esbenshade. Of this union the following children survive: Miss Annie Brubaker and Mrs Joseph Loney, of Indianapolis. Adam Brubaker, of Waco, Nebraska, and John Brubaker of the Wea. Mr Brubaker was married the second time to Miss Katie Kessler, who survives. For many years Mr Brubaker was proprietor of a general store at Wea. When his health failed he turned the business over to his son, John Brubaker. The funeral party will leave the house at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning and the services will be held in the Christian church at Wild Cat at 9:30 o'clock.
