Mrs. S. Durrett Rites Held Saturday. Funeral services were held Saturday at Brush Creek Baptist Church for Mrs. Sarah Bloyd Durrett, 84, who died at 10:45 a.m. Jan 28 at the home of a son, Charlie Durrett, in the Holly Grove section. Burial was in the Perkins Cemetery. The daughter of the late Jack Bloyd and Mrs. Martha Cantrell Bloyd, she was born in Green Co, Oct 22, 1875. She was a member of the Brush Creek Baptist Church. Other survivors include 2 sons, Robert and Earl Durrett, Green Co, 2 sisters, Mrs. Julia Noe, Mrs. Bettie Shofner, Summersville; 4 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were E. T. Berry, George Stearman, Udell Durrett, Delmar DeSpain, Orville Noe and Claude Shofner.

Mrs. Sarah Margaret "Sissy" Durrett, 84, died at 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the home of a son, Charlie Durrett, of the Holly Grove community of Green County. She was the widow of E. L. Durrett. Survivors include 2 other sons, Robert Durrett, Allendale, and Earl Durrett, Brush Creek; 2 sisters, Mrs Julia Noe, Creal, and Mrs. Betty Shofner, Summersville; 4 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. The body is at the home of Charlie Durrett. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Brush Creek Baptist Church. Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery.
