Johnstown Tribune: March 9, 1923

SOUTH FORK, March 9 - Cyrus Frye, aged 65 years, of 796 Lake Street, died of heart trouble at his home at 5:30 o'clock last evening.

Funeral services will be held at 1:15 o'clock Sunday afternoon in the local Evangelical Church and will be in charge of the Rev. F. W. Ware, pastor. Interment will be in the South Fork Cemetery.

Mr. Frye was a resident of South Fork for the past 40 years. He had been a member of the Evangelical Church since taking up residence here. The deceased also was a member of the Order of Independent Americans, and the United Mine Workers of America. Mr. Frye had served as a member of the local School Board for a number of years.

The deceased is survived by his widow, Mrs. Sarah Frye, and the following children: Harey F., Albert, Samuel and John Frye and Mrs. Edward Wissinger, all of South Fork; H.W. Frye, of Wilkinsburg; H.C. Frye, of Ferndale Borough; Floyd Frye, of Avalon, Pa., and Mary and Elneth, at home. One brother, George Frye, of Kansas, and two sisters, Mrs. James Johnson, of Greensburg, and Mrs. Susan Rollas, of Kecksburg, Pa., also survive Mr. Frye.
