Vera Nadine Blehm, 86, of Kingfisher, formerly of Omega, died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010, in Oklahoma City.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 6, 2010, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Okeene with the Rev. Paul Evans officiating. Burial followed in Kingfisher Cemetery under direction of Sanders Funeral Service in Kingfisher.

She was born Sept. 2, 1924, in Niles to Walter and Ethel Allen Rowe.

She graduated from Omega High School.

She married Lyle Wood in 1945. He preceded her in death. She later married Alvin Blehm. He also preceded her in death.

She was the postmaster in Omega for 25 years, retiring in 1978.

She and her husband moved to Kingfisher and operated a laundry mat. She and her second husband operated a dairy farm for many years.

Survivors include one son, Dennis L. Wood and wife Alberta of Haskel; one daughter, Kathy Jeter and husband James of Bethany; five stepchildren, LaVon Smith and husband Gordon of Bay Town, Texas, Kenneth Blehm and wife Shirley and Bob Blehm, all of Houston, Texas, and Wayne Blehm and Debbie Moore and husband Rodney, all of Dallas, Texas, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands and one brother.
