Carl David Biegert Sr., 85, Junction City, died Sept. 15 at Geary Community Hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday at 10:30 am from the Johnson Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Travis Siever officiating.
Mr. Biegert was born march 7, 1892 in the Lyona Community, the son of John A. and Barbara Biegert. he was a lifetime resident of this area.
He was married to Lucille Lyon on Sept. 30, 1915 in Junction City. He operated the Carl D. Biegert Machine Shop since 1928.
He was a member of the Lyona Methodist church; a 50-year member of the Union Masonic Lodge No. 7 AF & AM; a member of the BPOE Elks, 1037; and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 830.
Survivors include his widow, Lucille, of the home; one son, Carl D. Biegert Jr. of Dallas TX; one sister, Mrs. Dorven (Lillian) Hummel of Lyona.
