Mrs. Fred (Lydia) Suckut, 90, Carrington and formerly Bowdon, died Dec. 3, 1986, at the Carrington hospital.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bowdon School gymnasium, with Kenneth Olson officiating.

Burial will be in Wayside Cemetery, Bowdon.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Friday at Nelson Funeral Home, Fessenden, and continue one hour prior to services in the gymnasium.

Lydia Schaubert was born Oct. 1, 1896, south of Heaton, where she was reared and educated. She married Fred Suckut March 18, 1914, at Fessenden. They moved to Montana, where they farmed for a short time, before returning to North Dakota and settling on a farm south of Bowdon. They farmed until retiring in 1945, when they moved into Bowdon. In April 1986, they moved to Carrington.

She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Gilbert (Garnet) Schander, Bowdon; five sons, Lorance, Jake, Robert and Roy all of Bowdon, and Kenneth, Rogers, Minn.; one sister, Mrs. Ida Anderson, Bowdon; 22 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
