2nd Lt. Reynolds Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry L. Smith of Throckmorton county, was killed in a plane crash at Enid, Oklahoma.

2nd Lt. Smith graduated from flying school at Lake Charles, Louisiana in September 1942. He was an instructor at Enid. 2nd Lt. Smith was ferrying a trainer plane from Windfield, Kansas to Enid when the accident occurred. He was alone in the plane when it crashed.
