Mr S P Lott Dead
Member of Large of South Carolina Family-Home in Johnston
Johnston, SC, March 1-Mr SP Lott died at his country home near Johnston at 12 o'clock last night after several days illness from paralysis. Mr Lott was 76 years of age, and surviving him are his daughters, Mrs Chas Lamb, of Johnston, with whom he made his home, Mrs Faust, of Ohio; Mr John P Lott, of Columbia. Mr Lott was a brave Confederate soldier, being the last of six brothers, who served in the army . He is one of the original family of Lotts that are among the community's staunchest citizens. One brother, PN Lott, survives him. His wife preceded him to the grave many years ago. The local Daughters of the Confederacy will attend the funeral and plant the Iron Cross at 11 o'clock am tomorrow, Thursday, at the old family burying ground, one mile from Johnston.
