I want to clear up questions and suppositions about Margaret Hausel.

Margaret "Maggie" Hausel is my great grandmother. Her birth name is Anna Margaretha Schäfer. She was born December
20, 1835, in Rimhorn, Odenwaldkreis, Hesse, Germany.

Anna Margaretha married twice, 1st to Johann Peter Klinger April 18, 1858 in Höchst im Odenwald, Starkenburg, Hesse, Germany. Johann Klinger died November 8 1866.

She married 2nd to Johannes Häusel February 23 1872 in Höchst im Odenwald, Starkenburg, Hesse, Germany. Johannes Häusel died August 31 1873 while Maggie was pregnant with their daughter Anna Margeretha Häusel(1873-1886) who is buried with her mother. Anna Margaretha had another relationship but never married after the death of Johannes Häusel. From this relationship she had a son, Philip, who was given the Häusel name.

Maggie, Anna and Philip immigrated to the U.S. in Jun 1883 and settled in Harvard, Iowa with her brother Johann Philipp Schäfer (1846-1931) who raised Philip after her death. Philip's name became Americanized to Housel and then Heisel while he was in school. Philip is my grandfather.
