BELLOWS FALLS - Robert "Bob" Adams, 85, died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, at Grace Cottage Hospital in Townshend.
He was born Sept. 12, 1925, in Bellows Falls, son of Raymond and Doris (Marlman) Adams.
He was a graduate of Bellows Falls High School.
From 1944 to 1946, he served with the U. S. Army (R&R), and was stationed in the Philippines during World War II.
Mr. Adams was an avid rail fan and became an authorized Lionel electric train repairman. He worked with Nelson Blount, founder of Steam Town, and was also president of Green Mountain Railroad for many years.
In addition, he was involved in clock repair work and was a member of the Bellows Falls Historical Society.
Friends may call from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 6, with the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Fenton & Hennessey Funeral Home in Bellows Falls. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
