Fred Baker, 79, Near Warren, Dies
Fred Baker, 79, of Warren Route 2 died at 2:15 a.m. today at the Wells County Hospital, where he had been a patient eight weeks. He had been ill several years.
A retired farmer, he was born Nov. 15, 1882 in Huntington County to Jacob and Pheraby Hunnicutt Baker. His marriage was to Margaret Carnes, who survives.
He was a resident of Huntington County 44 years.
Surviving, in addition to the wife, are one daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Grover of Poneto Route 1; one son, Forrest of Warren Route 2; a sister, Mrs. Ora Baker of LaFontaine; two brothers, Bert and William, both of Bakersfield, Calif., and three grandchildren.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the Grogg Funeral Home in Warren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Delmar Harrold officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Warren.
