Mrs. Bogue Victim of Grip.
Death came very suddenly last Wednesday night to Mrs. Rachel C. Bogue, wife of Calvin W. Bogue at 201 South Seventeenth street. She had been suffering from grip about a week but that morning arose about as usual. Soon after pain in the region of the heart caused the calling of her physician, but she continued to grow worse until in the evening she passed away, aged 71 years. She was a life long Christian and came from Howard with her husband and family to Independence fourteen years ago, and was very much esteemed by neighbors and all who knew her. She is survived by her bereaved husband, sons Ernest and William of this city, Mrs. Eugene Emerson, Nampa, Idaho, Mrs. James and Mrs. Fred Barrackman of Howard; Mrs. A.T. Adams, VanBuren, Ark., and Mrs. Ed H. Pugh and Mrs. Bert Hazen of this city.
