Louie W. DeLay.
ADVANCE --- Louie William DeLay of Fowler, Mich. and formerly of the Advance-Bell City area, died early today at Chaffee General Hospital. He was 58 years old.
Mr. DeLay was born Jan. 19, 1920, in Bell City.
On June 4, 1942, he married Miss Mary Richardson.
Mr. DeLay was a retired employee of the Buick Motor Division in Flint, Mich. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Flint, and was a veteran of World War II. He was a Mason, and a member of the Scottish Rite.
Surviving are his wife; sons, John DeLay, Grand Blanc, Mich., James DeLay, Swartz Creek, Mich., Roger DeLay, Clio, Mich., and David DeLay, Mount Morris, Mich.; daughters, Mrs. Carol Shook, Montrose, Mich., and Mrs. Marsha Holland, Douglasville, Ga., his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew DeLay, Advance, brothers, John and Marshall DeLay, both of Flint, Bryce DeLay, Owosso, Mich., Burrette DeLay, Advance, Harold DeLay, St. Louis, and Forrest DeLay, Twentynine Palms, Calif.; sisters, Mrs. Betty Apsey, North Street, Mich., Mrs. Blanch Cooney, Mrs. Reka Hall and Mrs. Mina Matthews, all of Owosso, Mrs. Shirley Sutton, Pocahontas, Ark., and Mrs. Rosemary Whitener, Imperial, and 13 grandchildren.
The body is at the Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, where friends may call after 1 Saturday afternoon.
Service will be held at 2 Sunday afternoon at the funeral home with the Rev. Jimmie Brewer, pastor of the Advance Assembly of God Church, officiating.

DeLay, Louie W – Fowler, Michigan, age 58, died Thursday, April 27, 1978, at Chaffee General Hospital, Chaffee, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 1PM Tuesday, May 2, 1978 at Deliverance Tabernacle, Rev. D. L. Milliman officiating. Burial in Crestwood Memorial Gardens. Mr. DeLay will lie in state at the Reigle Funeral Home, 2417 S. Saginaw Street, Colonial Chapel from 3PM Monday to 11AM Tuesday, then will be taken to the church for services. Mr. DeLay was born in Missouri, January 19, 1920 and had been a resident of Flint for 35 years before moving to Fowler, Michigan. He was a Veteran of World War ll, a member of the Pentecostal Church of God, a member of Montrose Masonic Lodge #428 F & A M and a member of the Scottish Rite of Bay City, Michigan. Mr. DeLay had been employed at Buick Motor Company for 10 years, retiring in 1975. Surviving are: wife Mary; 4 sons, John of Grand Blanc, James of Swartz Creek, Roger of Clio and David of Mt. Morris; 2 daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Carol) Shook of Montrose and Mrs. Leslie (Marsha) Holland of Douglasville, Georgia; 14 grandchildren; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew DeLay of Advance, Missouri; 6 brothers, John DeLay and Marshall both of Flint, Bryce of Owosso, Burrette of Advance, Missouri, Harold of St. Louis, Missouri and Forrest of 29 Palms, California. 6 sisters; Mrs. Betty Apsey of North Street, Michigan, Mrs. Blanche Cooney, Mrs. Reka Hall and Mrs. Mina Dean Matthews all of Owosso, Michigan., Mrs. Shirley Sutton of Pocohontas, Arkansas and Mrs. Rosemary Whitener of Imperial, Missouri, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother George Ray DeLay several years ago.
