"Mrs. Sarah St. Clair - Mrs. Sarah St. Clair passed away at the home of her sister, Mrs. S. Henline, north of town Monday morning at 4:40. Death came suddenly from appoplexy. Mrs. St. Clair was 85 years old and was in good health and such a sudden passing was a shock to all who knew her.
Her maiden name was Sarah Burns ans she married James St. Clair in 1847. They resided at St. Johns, Michigan, where the husband died 18 years ago. Two years ago she came to Bradner to make her home with her sister, Mr. Henline. She ws born on January 14, 1829, at the old Burns homestead, two miles south of Bradner.
She is survived by five sons, Sam, of Bradner; George, of Dimondale, Michigan; Arthur, of St Johns, Michigan; Columbus, in Oklahoma*, and Howard, in Michigan. Three daughters, Mrs. Jane Hardy, of Lansing, Michigan; Rosie St. Clair, Lansing, Michigan; Mrs. Mary Moan (sp Moon), River Park, Michigan. Three sisters, Mrs. R. E. Lockart, Bradner; Mrs. S. Henline, Bradner; Mrs. Martha Spink, Prairie Depot. Two brothers, Jacob Burns, Faith, and Henry Burns, Prairie Depot. One son, Wesley, three sisters and three brothers are deceased.
Funeral services helf from the M. P. church, Bradner, Thursday morning and interment at Graham cemetery at Prairie Deport. Rev. A. P. McNutt, officiating. - Bradner Advocate"

*The obituary above incorrectly lists her son Columbus as living in Oklahoma. He left Michigan and came to Silverdale, Washington and homesteaded there in the late 1880`s and is buried at the Silverdale Cemetery. (information provided by Marty Peterson)
