George Hedrick II (or George Addison Hedrick?) was the eighth of eleven known children of Johannes George (went by George) Hedrick (1772-1844) and Mary Elizabeth Snyder Hedrick (1774-1814). It is not known where George Sr. or Mary are buried.

George Jr. married Fanny Clodfelter (1810-1889) on 13 Jun 1830 at Davidson County, North Carolina. Or was she a widow, Mrs. Miller? Was she first married to a Mr. Miller before George? Or was Miller her maiden name?

George and Fanny were the parents of thirteen known children, namely:

1. Elvira Jane Hedrick Hinkle (1831-1923)
2. Albertine Elizabeth Hedrick Schaefer (1833-1898)
3. Nancy Adeline Hedrick Clodfelter (1834-1923)
4. John Addison Hedrick (1836-1910)
5. Mary Ann Hedrick Burcham Spencer (1838-1903)
6. Susan Marie "Mariah" Hedrick (1840-1925)
7. Catherine Hedrick (1842-1850)
8. George Franklin Hedrick (1843-1903)
9. Andrew Lafayette Hedrick (1847-1944)
10. Anderson Hedrick (1848-1848)
11. Gideon Theodore Hedrick (1849-1928)
12 Emma Louise Hedrick Ridgely (1851-1948)
13. Ellen "Nellie" Eliza Hedrick Woods (1854-1938)

The George Hedrick Jr. family were very early settlers of the West Salem area, arriving in 1830 or 1831.
