William T. Browne, 68, died 4:45 p.pm. Friday, June 4, 1971, in a local hospital. Native of Bethel, N. Carolina, had lived in Houston over 53 years. He was the owner of the William T. Browne Insurance Agency for 35 years. Member of Westminster Methodist Church, Braeburn Country Club. Survivores: Wife, Mrs. Betty Browne; daughter, Mrs. Byrom T. Wehner, sons, William T. Browne Jr., David S Browne, all of Houston; sisters,Mrs. R.P. Holding of Smithville, N. Carolina, Mrs. William T. King of Louisberg, N. Carolina; several nieces and nephews.
