Clarence K. Larkin, 80, Kingsport
Kingsport – Clarence K. Larkin, 80, of Cobblestone place, and formerly of Mount Carmel, passed away Wednesday (Jan. 16, 2002) following an extended illness.

Mr. Larkin was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County and was a member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church. He was a retired employee of Tennessee Eastman (Bays Mountain). He was a member of Clay Masonic Lodge No. 386 for 53 years, Jericho Shrine Temple, Knoxville Consistory of Scottish Rite Masons, Fairview Chapter No. 80, OES, and the Mount Carmel Senior Citizens.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Lynn Alvin Larkin; his parents Charles W. Sr. and Julia Bruner Larkin; stepmother, Lula Lambert Larkin; two sisters, Anna Martha Larkins and Hazel Larkin; two brothers, Worley Larkin and Carl Larkin; brother-in-law, Paul Fields.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Frankie Fields Larkin, of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Lavern Nunley, Church Hill; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Donald and Helen Larkin, Dale and Teri Larkin, both of Johnson City; six grandchildren, Doni Hensley and husband Steve, Greenville, S.C., Stacy Nunley, Whitney Larkin, Carrie Ann Cobble, Tia Gentry, all of Johnson City, Paula Morgan and husband Rob, Greenville; one great-granddaughter, Caitlyn Hensley, and one great-grandson, Levi Morgan; one sister, Bessie Jenkins, Gray; three brothers and sister-in-law, Roy and Edith Larkin, Kingsport, Charles W. Jr. and Gladys Larkin, and Ray Larkin, both of Church Hill; three sisters –in-law, Pauline Larkin and Hulen Fields, both of Kingsport, Clarice Larkin, Church Hill; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Johnson Funeral Home, Church Hill, and anytime at the residence of his daughter, Patsy Nunley.

Services, with a Masonic Memorial conducted by Clay Lodge No. 386, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Larry Caylor officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. at Morning Star Cemetery.
