Edward D. Nail, 59, of Ft. Worth, formerly of China Spring, died Friday in a Fort Worth hospital.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Diggers Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Worth. Graveside services will be held at 5 p.m. Monday in China Spring Cemetery, Rev. Delbert Taylor officiating.
Mr. Nail was born in Cass County, and moved to China Spring as a child, with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Nail, pioneer settlers of the area.
He was reared in China Spring and attended China Spring schools.
Mr. Nail was a veteran of World War I. He was a retired conductor for the Fort Worth and Denver Railroad.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Bessie Rodgers of Fort Worth, Mrs. Gladys Mills and Mrs. Margaret Burney, both of Malone,IL, and Mrs. Lucille McCurley and Mrs. Bernice Maroney, both of Wichita Falls; five sons, W.R. Nail of Fort Worth, J. O. Nail of El Paso, Harry Nail of Wichita Falls, J. T. Nail of Washington and Edward J. Nail, Jr of Denver; a stepson, Guy Steen of Ridding, Calif; 42 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.
