Age 86, passed away Monday, September 1, 1997 in Mt. Pleasant. Orville was born on February 22, 1911 in Dayton, Tenn. to James and Mary (Mathews) Cox.

Orville married Geneva Terwilliger on April 4, 1936 and made their home in the Flint and Saginaw area.

Orville worked for the General Welding Works in Saginaw for several years and also for General Motors retiring from G.M. in 1976 after 11 years. Following his retirement, they moved to Weidman, where they resided.

Orville is survived by his wife of 61 years, Geneva of Weidman; three daughters, Janet Davis of Gladwin; Sharon Schmidt of Saginaw; Sandra and husband Rev. Charles Bonow of Lewiston, Minn.; one brother-in-law, Leland Anthony of Florida; two sisters, Pearl Roark of Tennessee; Juanita Fuller of Monroe, Mich.; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Orville is preceded by two brothers, Tom and Clyde; one sister Edna; and a son-in-law, Donald Davis Jr.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 2 from 5:00 to 9:00PM at the Dagget Funeral Home in Barryton and from 9:00 to 11:00AM on Wednesday also at the funeral home with services being held at 1:00PM on Wednesday at the Barryton Church of God in Barryton with Pastor Maurice Overturf officiating.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Weidman. Memorials can be made to the Barryton Church of God in lieu of flowers.
