Deceased Name: Bethel Lucille Botkin
Services for Bethel Lucille Botkin, who died October 4 in Wichita, were held at the Frank Funeral Home in Wellington at 2 p.m. October 8 with Rev. Quentin Bennett officiating.

Musical selections included "How Great Thou Art", "The Old Rugged Cross", "Wind Beneath My Wings" and "Perhaps Love" with Nancy Colwell as soloist and Betty Pattrick as organist.

Casket bearers were Shane Botkin, Mike Ala, Clint Moore, John Hernandez, Jay Treft and Lee Nelson.

A memorial fund has been established with the Wellington Humane Society.

Interment was in Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Wellington.

Deceased Name: Bethel Lucille (McNamony) Botkin
Bethel Lucille (McNamony) Botkin, 85, lifelong Wellington resident, faithful and loving wife and mother, died Friday, Oct. 4 at the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita.

She was born December 15, 1916 in Wellington to William and Estella Lee (Dawson) McNamony.

She was a retired GEC Midwest Burr Shop employee.

On July 22, 1950, she married Troy Merle Botkin Sr. in Eureka Springs, Ark.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crocheting and quilting and entered many state fairs with those projects. She loved gardening. She had cooked in many Wellington restaurants in her lifetime and had a profound love for animals.

Preceding her in death was her husband, one brother, Wendell Heasty and one grandson, Christopher Botkin.

Survivors are her sons, Troy M. Botkin and his wife Sherrie of Wichita; Daryl L. Botkin and his wife Barbara of Wellington; seven grandchildren, Shane Botkin, Collette Pottier, Tami Buchan, Kiley Thiele, Corey Botkin, Kristi Botkin and Mike Ala; nine great-grandchildren, Tia Botkin, Kalin Botkin, Ashtyn Botkin, Arielle Pottier, Abbi Buchan, Devon Buchan, Kamri Buchan, Brandon Ala and Kiersten Ala.

Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8 at the Frank Funeral Home with the Rev. Quentin Bennett officiating. Interment was in Prairie Lawn Cemetery.

A memorial has been established with the Wellington Humane Society.

Frank Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
