Aaron was the oldest of four children born to John Weant, Jr. and Susan Angel. On October 8, 1866 he married Emily Catherine Baumgartner and together they had one son, Daniel J. Daniel died at age 14. Aaron moved to Middleburg after Emily's death and began farming there. He had a housekeeper, Emma J. Stratten, whom he married in 1903. Aaron and Emma eventually settled in Emmitsburg, where he died in 1925.
