Elmer N. Olig, 55, a resident of Mt. Calvary, died today at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, where he was a patient for two weeks.

He was born June 1, 1916, at Mt. Calvary, a son of Frank and Amanda Petrie Olig. He married Theckla Wagner on Oct. 12, 1937, at Johnsburg.

Mr. Olig is survived by his widow; four sons, Roger of Mt. Calvary, James of Plymouth, William stationed with the U.S. Air Force in Korea and Jerry at home; and four daughters, Mrs. Leander Petrie of Kiel, Mrs. Lawrence Mueller of Mt. Calvary, Mrs. James Goebel of Fond du Lac and Miss Patricia Olig at home.

Other survivors are 21 grandchildren; a brother, Ervin of New Holstein; three sisters, Mrs. Emil Feldner and Mrs. Ray Eiring both of St. Cloud and Mrs. Clement Casper of Chilton; and his mother of Mt. Calvary.

His father and a son preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Huss Funeral Home, St. Cloud, and at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Mt. Calvary. The Rev. Earl Goeden will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. Wednesday and until the time of services at the funeral home.
