MRS. A. ASFAHL SUCCUMBS TO HEAT ATTACK

Riceville – Mrs. Albert Asfahl, 77, the former Alice Mosher, died early Thursday at the Mitchell County Hospital. She had suffered a heart attack at her home Wednesday evening.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Free Methodist Church here. The Rev. Herschel Hawf will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Born near Ricevillle, December 28, 1882, she was the daughter of Monroe and Esther Mosher. She was married September 3, 1902, and had lived in this vicinity all her life.

Surviving are her husband, seven children; Ernest, Riceville; Ralph, Cedar Falls; Roy, Des Moines; Henry and Donald, Rochester, Minnesota; Mrs. Marian Schmidt, Riceville; and Mrs. Lawrence Bird, Elma; 18 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; a sister; Mrs. Roe Rogers, Riceville; and a brother; George Mosher, St. Charles, Missouri. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marie.
