Mary graduated from St. Mary's School in 1945; she worked for the Guttenberg Egg Plant, Dubuque Packing Plant, Muters Co., and retired from the Guttenberg Care Center; she enjoyed playing bingo, photography and craft work.
On April 24, 1954, she was united in marriage with Manford Sherriff in Caledonia, Minnesota.
Survivors include one son, Manford Sherriff of Guttenberg; six sisters, Dorothy Knudtson, Joan White, Betty Leliefeld, Lois (Richard) Goerdt all of Guttenberg, Katie (Harry) Ben of Sherrill and Pat (Glen) Bolsinger of Greeley; one brother William (Rita) Leliefeld of Guttenberg and many other relatives and friends.
Her parents, husband, three brothers, Norm, Barney and Gary; and four sister, Vera, Opal and two in infancy, Kathleen and Carol Rose preceded her in death.
