William Norris Anderson Bill (Andy) Anderson, long time resident of Menlo Park, died October 2, 2007 at the age of 64 of complications from leukemia. Son of the late Robert and Claire Anderson, Billy was born September 18, 1943 in Palo Alto.

Bill is survived by his wife Kathy Hughes Anderson, sister Barbara McNeal of Oakland, brothers Bob Anderson of Ben Lomond, Barry Anderson of Palo Alto, Brad Anderson of Mountain View, nieces Claudia, Elise and Mary, great niece Jenna, as well as dear cousins and many close friends. Bill graduated from Menlo Atherton High in 1961. He joined the U.S. Army in 1963 and served three years in Turkey.

After returning to Menlo Park and attending college, Billy worked for SRI and PG&E before going to work for Dahl Plumbing and Heating in 1974. He later owned the company from 1995-2004, retired in 2005. Bill was an avid gun collector, historian, knife maker and chef. He enjoyed river rafting, travel, reading, and camping trips to Montana and Nevada.

He held numerous contractor's licenses, was a member of several professional organizations, a member of the YBI chapter of E. Clampis Vitus, and a devoted member of the 'Club' at the Alpine Inn Beer Garden. Our family and friends will dearly miss our beloved Billy.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 21 at 1:00 p.m. at Stanford Faculty Club, 439 Lagunita Drive, Stanford Campus.
