Virginia, IL - Rosalie Keefer Thomas Piper, 75, of Virginia, Ill., died at 8:35 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, 1992, at Walker Nursing Home.

Born Jan. 28, 1917, in Bath to Robert Frederick and Lieura Lacey Keefer, she married Douglas L. Thomas on Oct. 29, 1937. He died Feb. 25, 1973. She later married Laurence E. Piper in April 1974.

He survives, along with one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Shirlee Ann) Clark of Virginia; one son, Rollin L. Thomas of Springfield; two stepsons, Richard Piper and Brent Piper; two stepdaughters, Frances Sebley and Patricia Piper; two sisters, Roberta Conway of Bath and Mabel Lynn of Beardstown; five grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren.

One brother preceded her in death.

She attended Brown's Business College in Peoria.

She was a secretary for the Illinois Department of Revenue for 16 years, retiring in 1974. She was a member of Bath United Methodist Church and Rosewood Heights American Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Bath Cemetery.
