Parents: Nicholas Hunter and Sabra, an Indian maiden

Hardy/Hardey was named in the 1791 Duplin County, NC, will of his father Nicholas Hunter.

Jane Elizabeth Clark may have been Hardy's second wife.

Hardy inherited land in Duplin County, NC,& sold to John Hunter; he moved to Wilson CO,TN.

Hardy was a bondsman for Ward/Wynne wedding-Wilson Co., TN in 1809.

In 1825 and later, Hardy served as a grand juror in Hempstead County, AR. He was enumerated in the 1830 Hempstead County, AR, census.

Hardy owned land on Tobacco Creek, Noxubee Co., MS. The Dancing Rabbit Treaty-1830 indicated he had already sold this land.

Hardy was enumerated in 1831 in the Arkansas Territory.

Hardy was on the 1831 Armstrong Roll, which we copied at Choctaw Reservation, Neshoba Co., MS.

In 1834 he sold 80 acres, Noxubee County, MS, where a creek and a prairie were named for him--Horse Hunter Prairie and Horse Hunter Creek.

In 1837 Hardy purchased 80 acres Washington Land Office, Hempstead County, AR

In 1840 Hardy was enumerated in Saline Township,
Sevier Co., AR.

In 1850 Hardy was enumerated in Blue Bayou Township, Sevier Co., AR
