Mrs. Gladys Blume Darnell, 76, of Denmark will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003, at Ghents Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeremiah Henderson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The casket will be placed in the church at 2 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Danny Beard, Earl Matthews, Jimmy Hutto, Harry Gillam, Bo Darnell and Fabian Proveaux.
Mrs. Darnell died Saturday.
She was born May 7, 1927, in Bamberg County, a daughter of the late Henry and Cam Kirkland Blume. She was a homemaker and member of Ghents Branch Baptist Church.
Survivors are her husband C. Elbert Darnell of Denmark; sons, Charles and his wife, Jeanette Darnell of Hanahan, James and his wife, Martha Darnell of Cayce, Marion (Rock) Darnell and his fiance Christine Joyner of Bamberg; a brother, Wallace Blume of Bonneau; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Ghents Branch Baptist Church Family Life Center, 886 Ghents Branch Road, Denmark SC 29042.
