Irene Depper-Perdun, 80, died at 6:23 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009, at Jerseyville Manor.
She was born Dec. 12, 1929, in Greenville, Ill., to Claude D. and Tabitha Belle (Myers) Starner.
She married William E. Perdun April 15, 1991, in Jerseyville. He died Dec. 14, 1996.
She had worked at the International Shoe Factory in Jerseyville and as care case manager for Tri-County Counseling and Human Services. She also started and operated Meals on Wheels. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Jerseyville and Jerseyville American Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include one son, Maurice Depper of Dow; two daughters, Sandra and Nathan Bailey of Granite City and Lisa and Bill VanHoose of Jerseyville; grandchildren, Kimberly Depper, Richie Miller, Rachel (Jonathan) Beemer, Cody, Tiffany, Billy and Dustin VanHoose; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Bertha Miller, Ida Lucille Scott, and Irma and Vincent Lehr, all of Jerseyville
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents; son, Dennis Depper; brother, Everett Starner; sisters, Claudine Forester, Verma Starner, and Margaret Walker.
Visitation will be from 9 until service time at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 30, at the First Southern Baptist Church in Jerseyville. The Rev. Jon Lorch will officiate.
Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery
