Funeral services were held Friday in the Latimer Funeral Chapel for former Nashville city attorney, Fletcher B. Clement, 89, of Bonham, Texas.
The Rev. Calvin D. Mitchell officiated with burial in Memory Gardens at Hope by the Latimer Funeral Home.
Mr. Clement was born March 29, 1892 at Kirby, and died Wednesday at a Bonham, Texas hospital.
He served as state representative for Pike County for two terms in the 1930s. He was a practicing attorney at Glenwood and Nashville for a number of years and was city attorney for Nashville at the time of his retirement in 1972.
Mr. Clement was a veteran of World War I and a member of the First United Methodist Church at Nashville.
Survivors include: two sons, William T. Clement of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, and E.D. Clement of Sun City Center, Florida; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
